Television only serves as an application to numb peoples' minds down so that they don't do to much critical thinking.  It's not hard to see how comedy shows like the Simpsons/Family Guy/South Park throw references in thier shows about real issues and usually make fun of them. and since it's thrown in our faces in a light hearted manner on a very popular show, it somewhat desentizes the population to the issue being portrayed.

Maybe I'm over analyzing TV, but I dont trust anything that comes out of the tube.

You think too much.

Most things are good in moderation; Television isn't bad if you know when to stop.

And, so this Christmas?

That is correct, in my opionion. Mind numbing BS is what it is. I haven't watched any television for 4 months...I don't miss it. There isn't much on that I like anyways. I like to go out and actually live life. Not get sucked into the "fantasy" and "political" garbage. It is escapism. I refuse to do it.

I bet you're popular.

Not in school so there goes that.  The guys at work seem interested in what I have to say about corrupt America, but who knows if they're really interested or if it's just a good way to kill the two 15 minute breaks and lunch breaks we get.

I really don't think TV corrupts america in that sense.

Yes, indeed.
Watching tv is fine, but if you watch too much (same goes with being online)
you will fry your brain.
After all, the government loves to dumb down the  people, the less smart people they have, the more chances the government has of passing  new laws and continuing their corruption.
