Mark Time- raising and dropping your heels, dropping it to the ground even with the beat. Your left foot will hit the ground on 1 and 3, and your right foot hits the ground on 2 and 4.

Left Dress- address the left. In other words, turn your head left. This is used often to fix evenness in the line, if it's crooked.

The rhythm goes as such...
1    +     2          3        4             1

Right Dress- same as above.
